Appointment Reminder / Cancellation

If you have booked your appointment up to 1 month in advance then we will send you 1 text message reminder 2 or 3 days before it is due. If you have booked an appointment more than 1 month in advance then we will send you 2 reminders, the 1st one will be sent 7 days before and the 2nd one will be sent 2 days before your appointment.

You will also have the option to cancel your appointment by simply replying to your reminder text (within 48 hours) with the word CANCEL. DO NOT text back CANCEL more than 48 hours after you received the reminder as your appointment WILL NOT be cancelled automatically.  If you wish to book an alternative time and date then please speak to a receptionist. You will not be able to re-arrange an appointment via text. 

You can cancel any appointment you have booked with a Doctor or Nurse at Plas Y Bryn by one of the following methods:

• Reply 'Cancel' to the appointment reminder text within 48 hours of receipt
• Phone the Surgery, select option '0' and leave a short message (tell us you name, date of birth and the time / date of the appointment you wish to cancel). No need to speak to a receptionist and you will be on the phone for less than 30 seconds. Please note - this is for cancellations only, do not leave any other message (i.e requesting a call back, trying to arrange an appointment etc) as it will not be actioned.
